How to Use the GB4000 Hand Cylinders and Foot Pads

If you are using the GB4000 stand alone or with a SR4 amplifier you will  need to use the hand held cylinders and foot pads.  If you are using the GB4000 with a MOPA you don’t need them.  You plug both handhelds into the positive connectors. Both foot pads plug into the negative connectors. The basic rule is red wires into red connectors and black wires into black connectors. When using the GB4000 stand alone, all of the wires plug into the GB4000 itself as shown in the picture  above.  When you use the GB4000 with the SR4 amplifier you don’t plug any of the wires into the GB4000 itself. You connect the GB4000 to the SR4 amplifier using a coax cable with BNC connector from the back of the GB4000 to the back of the SR4 amplifier. You then plug the wires for the cylinders and foot pads into the SR4 as shown in the photo below. Both hand cylinders go into the positive and both foot pads into the negative.

This gives you two entry points on opposite sides of the body (the hands) and two exit points (the feet). This in turn give you more uniform distribution of the energy throughout your body. If you want to concentrate the energy in one area of your body to focus on a specific problem such as a tumor you can ignore the foot pads and plug one of the handhelds in the positive jack and one in the negative. You can then position the handhelds closer to the target area or perhaps one on the front of your body and one on the back. If you want to lay on one of the electrodes you can substitute one of the foot pad for the handheld cylinder you would be laying on as long as you can keep pressure on it as explained below. You should wrap each handheld and foot pad in one thickness of paper towel or cloth that is very damp but not dripping wet. The water provides conductivity to allow the electrical energy to flow into the body. The paper towel or cloth prevents the skin from coming into direct contact with the metal which prevents the metal from being absorbed through the skin.

Also be aware that you need some pressure on the pads and handhelds to compress the skin slightly. Compressed skin has less resistance to electricity than regular skin so the energy transfer is more efficient. You don’t have to squeeze so hard that your hand gets exhausted but you do need gentle steady pressure. This means that with the foot pads you need to sit up and let the full weight of you leg press down on the foot pad or if you are lying down you may want to place the foot pads under your calf or thigh to get pressure on them. Likewise the handhelds need to be held firmly or you can hold them under your arms and press them against your body. You can also press them against your body with your hand. If you are lying down or leaning back in a recliner you can put one behind you. This is a good example of when you might want substitute a foot pad for a hand held cylinder. You should not attach them to you with elastic bands unless you can get enough pressure along the length of the handheld or foot plate to compress the skin.
